Benson Com Report – Issue 50
May and June are the months for remembering those who have had the greatest influence in our lives. In May we celebrate the women who gave us life. So we want to wish all the mothers we serve a belated “Happy Mother’s Day.” We also have the joy of celebrating our fathers in June. So to all dads, we thank you for the life lessons and the time you were able to devote to us. Just to let you know, we turned out alright. Another important group for us to remember in May, are those who have served in our Armed Forces and who paid the ultimate price for our freedom. As James Grengs once said, “Freedon is never free…it costs us more than some are willing to pay.” So as we remember those who have given us life and liberty, let us celebrate their lives and always be grateful for them.
In this issue you will find the following topics discussed:
• Introduction
• Blake Transitioning Out
• Update your Computer with Used Parts
1. Blake Transitioning Out
Blake is transitioning from the position of Manager to his full-time career as a college student at Full Sail University in Florida. He is wrapping up the projects he is currently working on and plans on leaving his position in early June. He has served Benson Communications and his customers with the highest of quality in mind. He has been with the company since he was 15 years old and Ben Plikerd, Owner, has seen great progress and still sees great potential in Blake. We all send our prayers and blessings with Blake as he moves into another phase of his life. We will keep you updated on his progress.
2. Tech Concerns
There is an extreme trend in the world of downloadable files that has been affecting many of our clients. Much of this occurs because of children within the household. The computer systems of most schools have elaborate firewall protections that keep the computers free of downloadable software that may conatin viruses. However, personal computers generally do not have the same level of protection. Therefore, their computers are inundated with the newest in viruses that the world wide web has to offer. Some of these viruses are willingly downloaded through the use of Peer-2-Peer and Limewire. As always, it is best to know what your children are viewing on the Internet so that they don’t cause your computer to crash, causing you great expense for repairs. So next time your child tries to convince you that it is alright to download a file, torrent or other P2P program simply ask them if they’re going to pay to have the computer fixed.
3. Update Your Home Computer with Used Parts
Benson Communications has a large selection of quality used computer parts that can be utilized to update your home computer. If you would like a free consultation on whether any of these parts may be of a benefit to you, feel free to call Blake, Nicole or Sam to find out. As always, we are always available to you to fulfill your computer needs.
