Benson Com Report – Issue 49
Now that Spring Training is over and Major League Baseball is in full swing, it is thrilling to see the Cubs back in action and (said with a whisper) in 1st place in the NL Central Division. As a “die-hard, dyed in the wool Cub fan” who grew up in the center field bleachers at Wrigley Field this is the year that the “Northsiders” will take it all. I know that this is the 2nd national anthem for Cub fans, but there is truly something different about this years team. The same can be said about the Benson team. Its talent runs deep and is always hitting one out of the park with our customer service and work product. Although the guys may not make it to the World Series, they are definitely worthy of a Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.
In this issue you will find the following topics discussed:
• Introduction
• Manager’s Special
• Consumer Beware
• U4VOIP
• “Sweet Sorrow”

2. Consumer Beware…
As computer technicians we see many problems with computers that come into our shop, everything from simple computer error to the serious trojan horse virus. One of the biggest problems is not one that is “spammed” over the internet, but rather is a complication of the current marketing practices of computer companies. Tthe fact is that many large computer retailers are selling computers with the new Microsoft® Windows Vista®. What they do not tell their customers is that the bugs have not been worked out. If you have or purchase a computer with Vista®, you are likely to suffer from blue screens, inaccesable files, or internet sites being unloadable. This is even bad for technicians because the best thing you can do is get your xp back. Sometimes new isn’t always better, and that stands true for Vista®…at least for now. –Samuel Patrick, Computer Technician.

4. Sweet Sorrow
Shakespeare worte that “parting is such sweet sorrow” as he depicted the sadness of leaving one’s company yet the joy of having known the one leaving. It is with this same sweet sorrow that Benson Communications announces the departure of Mr. Blake Fawley. It has been Blake’s plan to leave the Syracuse area to attend college at Full Sail Unversity in Florida. There he will study computer graphic arts design. His last day will be June 6, 2008. We wish Blake the best of all things that life has to offer. He has been a vital part of the success of Benson Communications and will be sorrowfully missed.
